Robert W. Russell (1912-1992) was an American playwright, screenwriter and documentarian. Over his career, he was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Writing, Original Story and Best Writing – Screenplay. His plays include Take Me Along, Flora the Red Menace and Washington Shall Hang. Films include Ring of Steel, The More the Merrier, Come September and Walk Don't Run. Russell died in 1992 in New York City, shortly after his 80th birthday.
