Summary
A secret plot is afoot, Sir Robert Catesby has invited a willing band of conspirators to his 'happening' club to plan an explosive solution to their problems - the great Gunpowder Plot of 1605. Kjartan Poskitt's colourful show traces the conspirators' fated attempt to blow up Parliament by planting gunpowder under the House of Commons. He combines witty songs with an energetic approach to history, in this easily staged piece. Maybe Catesby's Cabaret Club never existed - but everything in it did actually happen.
