Overview
A Macedonian woman arrives in London'seeking her son Alexander who claimed political refuge three years earlier. Sent to a detention centre, she meets other refugees, including a Somalian woman and a Tamil doctor. In juxtaposed scenes we see Alexander losing his old sense of identity. When the two are finally reunited even's take an unexpected turn. In this story of love and loss Wertenbaker explores passions simmering in contemporary Britain.
