Thomas Hescott

Thomas is a writer and a director. In 2017 he was named on the BBC’s New Talent Hotlist. Television credits (as director) include EastEnders. He directed The Dark Room – a short film featuring David Mitchell, Miles Jupp and Matthew Baldwin. The film premiered at the 2016 London Short Film Festival. Theatre credits include The Act for Ovalhouse (as co-writer and director). The production was nominated for two Off West End Awards, including most promising playwright and transferred to the West End. He also directed the recent West End production of Tory Boyz by James Graham. Other credits as director include: Wolves At The Window (Arcola, and Off-Broadway), The British Ambassadors Belly Dancer(Arcola and Arts Theatre, West End) and Anatol (Arcola), Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth and Twelfth Night (Southwark Playhouse), Reunion (Bridewell), and Our Thing (Gate).
